DIRECTIONS TO HARLEYWOOD CAFÉ
It's not exaggerating to say Harleywood
Cafe (HWC) is the easiest restaurant to find in the area. Just
drive Highway
82 (the only highway) up or down the valley between Aspen and
Glenwood Springs. We're located just yards from the
side of the road, at the stoplight and small group of roadside
buildings known as "Old" Snowmass, 27 miles up the
valley (south) from
Glenwood
Springs, and 12 miles down valley from Aspen.
RFTA
Bus Transportation
HWC is an authorized RFTA Punch Pass
sales outlet. There is a RFTA “Park & Ride” parking
lot and up valley / down valley bus stops located directly across
the street. During
the bicycle season these bus stops are an authorized RFTA bicycle
load/unload site. If you are traveling up or down valley, you
can pay one fare for your entire trip, get off the bus for a
visit and continue your trip later in the same day, at no extra
charge. Just ask the driver for a same day transfer to finish
your trip from HWC.
Bicycle Path
HWC is located at the northern end
of the paved down valley bicycle path to and from Aspen. The
HWC is located at the
gateway to the Snowmass/Capitol Peak Wilderness areas. We have
a lockable bike rack and some “loaner” tools for the
bicyclist needs.
Camping, Fishing, Hiking,
Rafting
HWC is located at the confluence of
Snowmass Creek and the Roaring Fork River, a popular fishing
and rafting meeting place. You can use the RFTA “Park & Ride” for
your day visit to the area. Call ahead for delicious boxed lunches.
Other Services
Located in the same overall complex
as the HWC are the Old Snowmass Conoco Gas Station, Midstate
Motors:
auto
sales and repair, Snowmass Creek Winery, Snowmass Creek Liquors
and a US Post Office.
